About the District

The Hyde Park CDD 1 is located entirely within unincorporated Sarasota County, Florida and covers approximately 368.9+/- acres of land. The real property within the boundaries of the District is generally located east of Faka Union Canal and north of Oil Well Road.

A Community Development District (CDD) provides the 'solution' to Florida's need to provide valuable community infrastructure generated by growth, ultimately without overburdening other governments and their taxpaying residents. CDDs represent a major advancement in Florida's effort to manage its growth effectively and efficiently.
